WHERE IT STARTED

Long before Jeanette’s PAWS ever existed, there was a little girl who simply loved dogs with her whole heart.

When I was in 5th grade, my class was assigned a project to invent a business. While many kids dreamed of restaurants or toy stores, I built a model of my very first “Portable Puppy Lodge Motel.” I carefully painted every detail, imagined happy dogs being cared for, and dreamed about creating a place where every pet would feel safe, loved, and excited to visit.

Looking back now, I realize I wasn’t just completing a school assignment—I was building the very first version of the dream that would one day become Jeanette’s PAWS.

Today, that little dog hotel has come to life.

Every dog that walks through our doors is treated as if they were one of my own. Their wagging tails, happy faces, and the trust that families place in us are things I never take for granted. This isn’t simply a kennel to me—it’s the realization of a dream I’ve carried since I was a child.

As a lifelong dog lover, I know how difficult it can be to leave a beloved family member behind. That’s why we’ve built Jeanette’s PAWS to be a place where dogs are loved, played with, comforted, and genuinely cared for—not because it’s our job, but because it’s our passion.

WELCOME

Welcome to the official Jeanette’s PAWS LLC website.  My name is Jeanette Allen (Nolte) and I have been caring for animals for over 19 years (since 2007).  I first started my business when I was in high school for a couple of my neighbors going door to door walking or providing in-home pet sitting services.  With my entrepreneurial spirit, I wanted to continue building my client base as the years went on.  It was my mission from the beginning to provide every animal the care, protection, exercise and love that their owners would give even when they are away, either for the day or on vacation (doggie daycare/boarding).  It is critical to provide a seamless transition from owner to care taker, and establish a productive routine when it comes to the dog(s) everyday life. 

As time progressed, I furthered my education in the animal field to offer other services to my clients such as: full-service dog grooming, dog massage therapy, veterinary assistance and personalized dog obedience training.  From humble beginnings starting in Naperville, IL, and transitioning to a home-based business in Plainfield, IL, and now fully expanded to our current and only Oswego, IL location. We are now located on 8+ acres of land with a 6,000 sq/ft kennel on the premises, along with our home right here on the property to give clients peace of mind. We now have 3 groomers, and 13 kennel staff members to help assist in all office work and caring for our clients’ furry friends both canine and feline.

We are unlike any facility in the sense that we offer boarding/daycare for all types of dogs. Whether your dog is people aggressive, dog reactive, or dog friendly. We have accommodations to best suit each dog in a safe and loving environment. All dogs have the opportunity to roam our large fenced in yards throughout the day for their potty breaks/exercise that are divided up over about an acre of property.  We also offer beautiful nature walks for clients interested in the service while boarding to give their dogs the opportunity to take in nature on the large property.

As my husband and I continue to grow our business, we are also growing our family as we are expecting our second child in January. Our daughter’s passion and love for dogs gives us hope that this business that her mother created as a young girl will carry on within the family for years to come.
